Incubation Facility

Open Innovation Facility (Japanese)

Yagami Innovation Laboratory (YIL), located on Yagami Campus, aims to share the scientific and technological achievements of Keio University with the world, create innovative solutions for real-world challenges, and cultivate corporate partnerships that help bridge research and industry. YIL works closely with faculty members and students from the Graduate School of Science and Technology and corporate partners from the YIL Industry-Academia Collaboration Alliance. These relationships allow the laboratory to engage in communication-forward joint research, as well as foster the next generation of talent by providing a rich learning experience involving both real-hardware simulated and on-the-ground training, together with quality mentoring in starting a business. And with the backing of other Keio faculties and graduate schools, YIL is a place where innovation thrives—offering a vibrant environment where people come together to exchange ideas, learn, and take on new challenges.

Incubation Facility (Japanese)

The Center for Research and Incubation, Keio University (CRIK Shinanomachi), located on the 9th floor of Building No. 2 of Shinanomachi Campus, was established to promote research and the creation and growth of new ventures. One feature that sets CRIK Shinanomachi apart as a joint research institution is its access to medical data only available within a hospital environment. It is also home to a unique entrepreneur-centered community optimized to support business expansion and success.

These two facilities were developed with the support of MEXT's Facilities Improvement Projects.
